Our Client: Our client, a world renowned online poker provider, is searching for an experienced Business Development Director to join their rapidly expanding team in the Isle of Man. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to become a part of one of the betting industry’s most respected and progressive brands.
The Setup: Our client is looking to create a dedicated Business Development Team. An immediate need exists for a self starting, motivated individual to establish and head up this team as Director Business Development. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing strategic relationships, assisting in the advancement of strategic growth objectives and evaluating new growth markets.
Responsibilities:
• Identify, evaluate and prioritize potential new market entry, investment and partnership activities.
• Work with marketing, executive team and others to incubate prioritized projects.
• Identify and create innovative and competitively sustainable project business models.
• Outline the opportunity set and source new partners or vendors for the project.
• Handle all contract negotiations.
• Handle overall project management responsibilities and drive projects towards launch.
• In concert with marketing account manage, develop and grow commercial partnerships.
• Participate in all aspects of mergers and acquisition assignments, including structuring, valuation. analysis, negotiations, due diligence and document preparation.
• Analyse and review ideas brought forth by outside entities.
• Create the overall strategy and growth plan for the Business Development Team.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have progressive operations or marketing experience in online gaming, extensive business development background, strong negotiating acumen, excellent project management skills and a keen knowledge of the online and offline poker market. You should possess a strong analytical mind and ability to synthesize large amounts of data into a cohesive plan; strong quantitative and financial modelling skills with knowledge in valuation analysis; and an ability to clearly articulate both business and strategic rationale of potential partnerships and business growth initiatives. You must be able to manage executive interactions with potential partners and targets. You must also be able to navigate various cross functional processes and work well with other internal constituents.
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years experience successfully managing the operations or large division of an online gaming company and heading up a business development team for a multinational company. Experience in the online gaming industry and in particular poker is strongly recommended. The individual should have a credible university degree with a masters in business preferred. The individual should have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
