Alex Lafferty – Managing Director
Alex is a graduate in Applied Communications and Marketing from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Having worked for independent bookmakers over a number of years and also for Betdaq in Dublin, Alex brings with him a broad knowledge of the betting industry. Prior to setting up Hyperion in February 2007, Alex worked within online gaming recruitment for a digital agency, focussing predominantly on marketing based roles.
Within Hyperion Alex manages a number of key accounts whilst also having a focus on building new business.

Q: Favourite football team?
A: The mighty Black Cats (Sunderland).
Q: Best Cheltenham moment?
A: Although recent, Inglis Drever winning the World Hurdle for the third time in 2008 was impressive.
Q: Best bet of 2008?
A: John Part to win the PDC final @ 4/9 with Boyle Sports against Kirk Shepherd. I know it was a short price but still a value punt.
Q: Best Poker moment?
A: Winning a £25 sit and go at the Loose Cannon Club is a memory that sticks out as being satisfying as it was my first off-line victory.
Q: Will Sunderland be in the Premier League for the 2008/2009 season?
A: Stupid question, of course we will.
Chris Denny – Director
Chris is a graduate in Politics from London Metropolitan University. Having spent two years at Betfair during its infancy, Chris has a truly betting industry based background and has also been involved within Greyhound Racing and betting based journalism for the vast majority of his life. Before setting up Hyperion in February 2008, Chris had worked on-course and also spent an internship as a Junior Trader for Sporting Index.
Within Hyperion, Chris manages a number of key accounts whilst also running the operational side of the business.

A: The Bees (Barnet).
Q: Favourite sport?
A: Darts - I have followed the circuit and attended tournaments around the U.K for many years. I also currently play in two amateur London based darts teams.
Q: Favourite sporting moment?
A: Paul Hunter winning the B & H Masters against Fergal O’Brien in 2001 from seven/three down.
Q: Best bet of 2008?
A: Man United to win the Premier League each way at 9/4 with Corals (half odds first and second) in the immediate wake of Mourinho’s resignation. Both Alex and I are hoping to cash in if United can hold on to top spot.
Q: Favourite Sports/Betting Book?
A: The Lowlife, Alexander Baron: A quality read about a Jewish dog track face, Harry Boas. The action is set around the greyhound stadia’s of 1960’s London.
David Goodall – Consultant
David is a graduate in Geology from Birmingham University. Having previously worked for Bet 365 and Coral, David is a sports and betting enthusiast who houses extensive knowledge of horse racing, football, darts, snooker, grey hound racing and US Sports. Also an avid punter, David holds a number of on line betting accounts and constantly has his head in the Racing Post to keep up to date with current news and form.
Within Hyperion, David manages a number of key accounts and is also the company's senior resourcer.

A: Back in Front beating Kicking King in the 2003 Supreme Novices as this was my first time at the festival.

A: Melbourne Storm NRL Premiers @ 5-2 with Betfair.
Q: Flat racing or national hunt?
A: National hunt for me.

A: My guess is any of the following: 2009, 2010, 2010, 2011, 2012...
